Itinerary
Morning: Departure from Marrakech
Pickup Time: 8:00 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech.
Transfer to Imlil: Drive through the scenic routes of Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni, reaching Imlil (1,740m) after approximately 1.5 hours.
Trek Commencement
Meet Your Team: Upon arrival in Imlil, meet your experienced English-speaking Berber guide and muleteer team.
Ascent to Tizi Mzik Pass: Begin your trek by ascending the Tizi Mzik Pass (2,480m), offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.
Visit Ighouliden Waterfalls: Descend through juniper forests to the Ighouliden Waterfalls, the highest in the Atlas Mountains at 100 meters.
Evening: Arrival in Tizi Oussem
Village Exploration: Continue your descent to the picturesque village of Tizi Oussem (1,850m), nestled in the Azzaden Valley.
Accommodation: Overnight stay in a traditional Berber gîte, providing comfortable lodging and an authentic cultural experience.
Meals: Enjoy a hearty dinner prepared by your Berber cook, featuring traditional Moroccan dishes.
Total trekking time: Approximately 5–6 hours.
Morning: Departure from Tizi Oussem
Breakfast: Start your day with a traditional Moroccan breakfast at the gîte.
Trek to Id Issa: Begin your hike towards the village of Id Issa, experiencing the daily life of the local Berber communities.
Ascent to Tizi Oudid Pass: Climb to the Tizi Oudid Pass (2,100m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
Afternoon: Descent and Return
